Packaging is used as a marketing tool in many sectors, including the ornamental horticulture sector. A few years ago specialist chrysanthemum breeder Fides BV in Maasland developed the ‘Arctic Queen’ variety that is now grown and packaged by several nurseries including Monnikenwaard in Nieuwaal. To give more prominence to the name of this luxury chrysanthemum Fides and Van der Windt worked together to develop a sleeve with beautiful, and high technical quality printing. The Arctic Queen sleeves (which are designed by Mirakuleus) are printed on the 10-colour press of Wentus Kunststoff GmbH, the company in the Van der Windt Wentus Packaging Group that manufactures the flower sleeves and other articles. The end result is, therefore, guaranteed.
