Everybody can contribute towards a better climate. Including Van der Windt which, earlier this year, signed a co-operation agreement with Climate Neutral Group as a component of its CSR policy. Our customer BiJo also wants to play a pioneering role when it comes to fully sustainable and organic cultivation. BiJo is a large, modern company owned by the Jonker family in 's-Gravenzande that focuses on the growing, slicing and packing of 100 % organic vegetables. The name BiJo stands for: Biological from Jonker. BiJo supplies a varied range of organic products ranging from innovative leaf vegetables to freshly sliced and packed convenience vegetables. On 23 June 2009 outgoing Minister Van der Hoeven officially turned off the gas, which means BiJo's cultivation is now not only organic but also sustainable. Van der Windt has developed for, and supplies BiJo with, a new packaging for its sustainably-grown cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers. Arno Jonker: 'We are very satisfied with the look and identity the new packaging gives our products. Customers can see immediately that they are looking at an exceptional organic, sustainable and high-quality product.' |
