Bromelia Brigada places large order for BOPP sleeves

Six leading Bromelia growers have clustered their strengths under the name Bromelia Brigada. Their objective is to be able to offer even better service to their customers in the retail, export and wholesale sectors and, at the same time, gain purchasing advantages. Van der Windt, in co-operation with Nic.Sosef, has been supplying CPP sleeves to the Bromelia Brigada since the beginning of 2009. The spearhead of this joint project is a consistently high quality and guaranteed availability of the sleeves. To ensure the group members always have sleeves available, stocks are held by the various growers, Sosef and Van der Windt. This construction has laid the foundations for a co-operation that will continue through 2011. The Bromelia Brigada, however, want to improve the presentation of the plants by replacing the existing film with a crystal-clear BOPP film. Because the Brigada members believe in looking before they leap, this spring Van der Windt was invited to participate in a test phase for the new, double-sided BOPP50 sleeves in a crystal-clear and anti-static quality. Van der Windt's samples proved to be among the best and, thanks to its keen pricing, at the end of the tender phase Van der Windt received a definite order for a total of eight million sleeves.
