Champoord in Ammerzoden had been a mushroom grower for many years before being established as a wholesaler in 1975. Over the years Champoord has developed into a specialist wholesaler of a diverse range of mushrooms and other fungi and the company, which now employs 15 people, sells over 7.5 million kilo of mushrooms a year. To guarantee the highest quality from grower to consumer the mushrooms remain at Champoord for as short a time as possible. When they arrive they are first checked for quality and then sorted, packed and prepared for delivery. Champoord operates its own vehicle fleet so the products can be transported as quickly as possible to customers in many European countries.
