Van der Windt adopts Rice Paper butterflies in Artis

The share of sustainable packaging has grown explosively in recent years. From coffee cups to tulip sleeves and from garbage bags to magazine film: Van der Windt has a sustainable solution.
We believe this consideration for the world and the nature around us quite simply goes without saying and in this context Van der Windt is sponsoring Artis Zoo. Artis in the heart of Amsterdam is the Netherlands’ oldest zoo. Its story began in 1838. In Artis nature, culture and heritage come together. One of Artis’ environmentally-responsible activities is the distribution of its magazine in biodegradable PLA film supplied by Van der Windt. This year Van der Windt and Nic Oud, the company that seals the magazines and readies them for distribution, have adopted the Rice Paper butterflies (idea leuconoe – also called the Paper Kite butterfly, the Wood Nymph or the Tree Nymph) that can be admired in Artis Zoo’s Butterfly Pavilion.
